Money to help Covington Elementary School will be raised during Wednesday night during its first McTeacher Night of the 2008-09 school year.
From 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the McDonald’s restaurant in Covington, part of the proceeds from diner’s orders will be donated to the school. In past years, such fund-raisers helped pay for benches and picnic tables.
Teachers from the school will be doing some of the cooking and food preparation during tomorrow’s event.

Recently, the Reporter and its parent company, Sound Publishing, decided to change the Reporter’s publication frequency from twice-weekly to once per week by dropping our Saturday paper but continuing to publish a print edition every Wednesday. We felt, in moving the newspaper forward, that it was the right decision for our advertisers and readers. But after more discussion with advertisers, we now believe we must change the publication day to Friday, instead of Wednesday.
