Expect delays over Snoqualmie Pass May 6-9

The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 in both directions starting at 7 p.m., May 6, from Gold Creek (milepost 54) to Easton (milepost 71). A reopening time depends on the amount of time it takes to remove boulders and large pieces of debris. Crews will also evaluate and repair any damage to the highway. Drivers need to plan for up to four hours of additional travel time.

The rock blasting closures scheduled for May 7-9 are scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. from Gold Creek (milepost 54) to the Price Creek Sno-Park (milepost 61).

Crews are working in a very difficult area along I-90 this year to remove rock. This work is weather dependent and subject to change. Drivers are encouraged to use the following tools to plan trips across I-90 this summer:
