Published 1:24 pm Tuesday, April 30, 2013

Lake Sawyer Christian Church in Black Diamond is hosting Missions Sunday on May 5 to highlight the church’s local and international community service.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. LSCC will host a pastor from Tajikistan who is supported through the church here and will discuss the work of the church in that country. LSCC Senior Pastor Lee Giermann will speak on local and regional efforts of church members and how people can get involved.

LSCC also supports mission work in other countries such as the Philippines and Zimbabwe. Locally, the church partners with Network Tacoma and Vine Maple Place to support homeless children and their parents. LSCC also has its own Orphan Care Ministry, Mission 1:27, which works inside and outside the church to build awareness around the great need for foster and adoptive care.

The church campus located at 31605 Lake Sawyer Road SE in Black Diamond. Free childcare is available at both services, from birth through sixth grade. For more information about any of these community or international efforts, or about Lake Sawyer Christian Church, visit www.lscc.org or call 360-886-8045.
