Postseason play begins | Spring Sports

As the school year and the spring season nears the end, the Kentwood Conquerors, Kentlake Falcons and Tahoma Bears enter the postseason.

Baseball

Kentwood

The Conks baseball team played Rogers of Puyallup in the first round of 4A districts Tuesday, May 12.

If Kentwood won, it advances to play Saturday, May 16 and if it lost, the next game was Wednesday, May 13.

Kentlake

The Falcons post season began Tuesday with a first round game against Federal Way.

Kentlake won 4-2 and next played Wednesday in a loser out game.

Tahoma

The Bears played Tuesday, May 12 against South Kitsap.

If Tahoma won the game, it advances to play Saturday, May 16.

But if the Bears lost, its next game was Wednesday, May 13.

Softball

For the Conks, Falcons and Bears softball teams the postseason does not begin until Friday, May 22.

The 4A districts tournament kicks off at 11 a.m. at the Kent Service Club Ballfields.

The tournament runs through Saturday, May 23.

Boys Soccer

Kentwood

The Conks’ boys soccer game played its first postseason game Tuesday, May 12 against Olympia.

The winner of the game advanced to a second round game played Thursday, May 14.

The loser of Tuesday’s game ended its season.

Tahoma

The undefeated Bears’ postseason begins at 7 p.m.  Saturday, May 16 at Tahoma High School.

Track & Field

The South Puget Sound League 4A championship began Wednesday, May 13 at French Field.

Day two of competition is set for today, Friday, May 15.

Tennis

Kentwood sweep the SPSL North with a 10-0 record and 12-1 overall.

The girls only loss was to Bellarmine.

At the time of press, the  postseason schedule for girls tennis was not available on the SPSL website.
