An 18-year-old teenage male from Enumclaw was seriously injured in single-car rollover accident in the 19200 block of the Southeast Auburn-Black Diamond Road at about noon July 1.
Mountain View Fire and Rescue/Black Diamond Fire Department responded to the accident.

LOVER’S SPAT: 17300 block of Southeast 270th Place. A drunk woman assaulted her boyfriend in the parking lot of a pizza restaurant. She was arrested for fourth degree assault.
At 7:15 Monday, June 28, a smoke detector alerted a Kent family to a smoking pan of oil on the stove in the kitchen. The residents found the smoking pan and began fanning the smoke when the pan caught fire. The residents immediately called 911 and then were able to extinguish the fire on the stove with a portable fire extinguisher.

State Fire Marshal Charles M. Duffy announced today with retail fireworks stands opening across the state everyone is reminded personal fireworks require personal responsibility.
In 2009, 1,236 fireworks incidents were reported to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, with 30 pecent of these incidents having no adult supervision. This included 200 injuries, of which 66 were children under the age of 14.

COCAINE: At 6 p.m. an officer did a routine check on a vehicle and found that the registered owner had an outstanding warrant and was driving with a suspended license. Upon contact with the driver, he stated he had just purchased the vehicle from the listed registered owner. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected and the male passenger admitted to having a pipe in his pocket. During the search of the passenger, four needles, a metal spoon and Q-tips were found in a pocket. The officer found marijuana and rock cocaine in the other pocket. The passenger admitted to injecting cocaine. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor.
