After waking up Sunday morning to the news that their trailer full of equipment was stolen, the Tahoma Bear Metal robotics team found some good news Wednesday morning.

According to the team’s Facebook page said their robot was returned to Tahoma High School. The robot was discovered around 6 a.m.

A collective sigh of relief has been heard across the Kingdom of Bear Metal to have their fearless leader return,” the team wrote on their Facebook page Wednesday morning.

They said there is some damage due to condensation but other than that “it is largely in tact.”

Security footage shows Xcalibear was dropped off around 12:55 a.m. According to their Facebook, there isn’t enough information to make out the make or model of the vehicle.

Bear Metal said on their page that “FIRST has ruled that we can compete with Xcalibear this weekend.”

It has to dry out and then the team can get back to work preparing it for competition.
