Anderson, founder and president of Dace’s Rock N More Music Academy in Maple Valley, will be playing with his band that he fronts with a trio of students from the Academy.

Sealth started out as a chance to showcase his most talented students from the Academy, but has evolved into a serious, hardworking band. Anderson, who sings and plays guitar, is joined by Arielle Young on guitar and backing vocals, bassist Jerrud Glaze, drummer and keyboardist Mitch.

A pair of shows are scheduled on Saturday, Aug. 15, with the first being “a live acoustic performance” coming in the morning at the Maple Valley Farmer’s Market at Rock Creek Elementary School.

Anderson said the Academy will also be represented at the market’s nonprofit booth on Aug. 15.

The second show is a benefit, Anderson explained, at a private residence in Black Diamond.

“We’ll be having at least four bands from the school and a silent auction with dozens of items on which to bid,” Anderson said in an e-mail. “It will be a busy, awesome day.”
