The Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent will host the third special night meeting of the Metropolitan King County Council’s Budget and Fiscal Management Committee to take public comment on the County Executive’s proposed 2015-2016 King County Budget:

50 speakers have addressed the committee about the County’s first biennial (2015-2016) budget at the first two meetings held in the rural community of Fall City and at Bellevue City Hall.
Committee members heard from speakers about budget priorities that included funding for economic development, assistance for public defense, continuing funds for programs helping survivors of domestic violence assistance and sexual assault, public health clinics and services for youthful offenders.
All members of the County Council serve on the Budget Committee during the review of the proposed budget.
