The YWCA will hold another series of financial education classes in both English and Spanish, Hope and Power For Your Personal Finances and Esperanza y Poder para tus Finanzas Personales.
They will be offering the free financial education classes for victims/survivors of domestic violence again this fall, Sept. 5 through Nov. 7 in a confidential location in South King County. Both classes will be every Wednesday afternoon from 12-3 p.m.
Childcare will be provided on site and transportation assistance is available.
During the 10 weeks, we will cover:

- Financial Abuse
- Setting and Meeting Financial Goals
- Basic Banking / Checking Accounts
- Taking a Personal Financial Inventory
- Budgeting Your Money
- How to Save on a Limited Income
- How to Get and Read your Credit Report
- Improving Your Credit
- Federal Income Taxes/EITC
- Financial Aid for School
- Getting a Job
- Small Business Assistance
- Family Law and DV Protections
- Immigration and DV
- Finding a Place to Live
- Protecting yourself with Insurance
