Suspect in Black Diamond hit and run incident arrested

A 23-year-old Black Diamond suspect believed to be responsible for a hit and run which occurred last Friday, Oct. 14, has been arrested by Black Diamond Police, according to Act. Commander Greg Goral.

The suspect has been charged with felony hit and run.

The arrest occurred at 11:30 a.m. today, after an Auburn Valley-Kia Dealership noticed a vehicle inside their repair shop with damage that appeared to be similar to the vehicle allgedly involved in the hit and run.

The employee contacted the Black Diamond Police Department and a short time later the suspect was placed under arrest at his place of employment in Auburn.

According to a press release issued by Black Diamond Police, the suspect told police that he thought he had hit mailboxes and after viewing the KOMO News video was apologetic.

The suspect also had a suspended driver’s license at the time of the accident.
