This year Tahoma High students swept first, second and third place in the Artistic Discovery Contest for the 8th district, sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The winning entry for the 8th district, “Dive In” is a photography piece by Mia Hell, a senior at Tahoma High School.

Placing second was Austin Perry’s piece “Sustainability” and placing third was Dylan Hageman’s piece “Clear Vision”.

In all, Tahoma High School students entered 72 pieces for the show this year, the largest turnout ever by a single school. Congratulations to all of the participants who participated.

The Artistic Discovery Contest is open to all high school students in the 8th District. The over-all winner of our district’s competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will also include artwork from other contest winners nation-wide.
