Students from Tahoma High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) were presented with the city of Maple Valley Mayoral Proclamation at the City Council’s Nov. 14 meeting.
The proclamation, declaring Nov. 15, 2011 as Tahoma FFA Day, honored them for their successful participation at the 2011 Puyallup Fair.
They received numerous special recognitions and awards including the Black and White Commissioner Award which is given out to only one exhibit at the fair.
Tahoma High has participated in the Puyallup Fair competitions for 29 years.
Tahoma’s FFA is headed by Marie Page.
The FFA was founded in 1928.
