LARCENY

• On June 11 officers responded to Safeway to reports of a shoplifter. The police report stated that food items fell out of the subject’s pants.

• On June 17 officers responded to reports that the victim’s wallet along with debit cards and identification was stolen from their locked vehicle. The police report stated that later that day one of the debit cards was used twice at the Covington Fred Meyer. It appears the suspect pried open the vehicle door enough to unlock it and steal the wallet.

• On June 17 the victim’s wallet was taken out of his hand as he exited a Metro bus. The suspect fled after taking the wallet but the two later confronted each other inside a 76 station mini mart. According to the police report, the suspect dropped the wallet after emptying it of cash.

• On June 19 officers charged a shoplifter from Kohl’s with third degree theft by investigation for walking out of the store with an expensive Kitchen Aid mixer attachment. The police report stated the shoplifter is known to loss prevention throughout King County. He fled the scene in a U-Haul van and remains at large.
