The Kent Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), in conjunction with the Kent Regional Fire Authority, Zone 3 agencies, and UNIVAR USA will be holding a joint hazardous material drill from 9:00 a.m. until noon tomorrow, June 29th.

Community members and local businesses are invited to attend and observe. If you are interested in attending this training event, please notify the Kent Office of Emergency Management at KentOEM@Kentwa.gov to register as an observer.

The City of Kent Local Emergency Planning Committee is committed to preparing for hazardous material incidents. This preparedness involves emergency response agencies, hazardous material facilities, area businesses, and the residents of the Kent area.

You can do your part by learning what hazards exist within your community and how you can best prepare for emergencies.
