Evening and overnight drivers on State Route 900 in Tukwila will need to plan ahead as a single direction of the highway is closed nightly June 6-13 for concrete panel replacement.
Washington State Department of Transportation contractor crews will close the highway from just south of the Interstate 5 interchange to 64th Avenue South. Drivers will follow posted detour signs.
What drivers can expect
Only one direction of SR 900 will close each night, beginning at 8 p.m. and re-opening daily at 5 a.m.
- Eastbound closure: June 6, 8, 9, 13
- Westbound closure: June 7
- No closures are scheduled Friday-Sunday nights
The work is part of a 3.2 mile project on SR 900 to replace concrete, asphalt and shoulders that are cracked and in need of repair.
