King County Council meeting highlights | May 25-29

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

 

–Councilmembers will hear public testimony during their monthly public comment period. Speakers will have two minutes to address the Council on matters relating to county government.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

•   A motion related to the Lower Duwamish waterway cleanup and the health of communities adjacent to the Lower Duwamish waterway (Motion 2015-0167).

•   Motions confirming the appointment of members to the King County Economic Opportunity and Empowerment Program Advisory Board (Motions 2015-0183 and 2015-0192).

•   An ordinance authorizing the Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees to execute an amendment to the Management and Operations Contract between the Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees and the University of Washington, dated December 19, 1995, to extend the duration of that contract (Ordinance 2015-0175).

•   A motion relating to accepting Metro’s mobile ticketing pilot project work plan (Substitute motion 2014-0147.2)

King County Flood Control District—Immediately following meeting of the Metropolitan King County Council **Special meeting***

The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

•   A resolution approving an interlocal agreement between King County and the King County Flood Control Zone District to extend its term through December 31, 2015 (Resolution No. FCD2015-05).

•   A resolution relating to the King County Flood Control Zone District’s 2014 financial statements and adopting the “King County Flood Control Zone District Financial Statements for the Year Ended December 31, 2014” (Resolution No. FCD2015-06)

 

Wednesday, May 27

 

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

 

•   An ordinance setting the 2016 Sewer Rate and Capacity Charge (Ordinance 2015-0164).

Law, Justice, and Emergency Management Committee – 1:30 p.m. ***Special meeting***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

•   An ordinance authorizing the county executive to execute revised interlocal agreements for electronic fingerprint capture equipment services, between King County and the cities in King County, the Port of Seattle, the University of Washington and Sound Transit (Ordinance 2015-0193).

•   A motion requesting that the executive develop and transmit a report addressing space constraints at the Involuntary Treatment Act court (Motion 2015-0204).

•   A motion requesting that the executive develop and transmit a report identifying milestones for oversight of the implementation of the Puget Sound Emergency Radio Network (Motion 2015-0208).
