Six people have been displaced after a fire started in their mobile home in the 24400 block of 64 Ave. S.

One adult and several children were inside when smoke began to fill the double-wide mobile home. Everyone was able to get out safely, though the adult was treated by King County Medic One and transported by ambulance to a local hospital due to smoke inhalation.

A neighbor was the first to report the fire at 1:26 pm. When firefighters from the Kent Fire Department RFA arrived, they found smoke and flames from the back side of the building. It only took seven minutes to fully extinguish the fire.

Red Cross is assisting the family and the fire is under investigation.
