Tahoma PE teacher and golf coach Tracy Krause is expected to be named the National Football League PE Teacher of the Year, according to Tahoma School District Spokesman Kevin Patterson.

Tahoma PE teacher and golf coach Tracy Krause is expected to be named the National Football League PE Teacher of the Year, according to Tahoma School District Spokesman Kevin Patterson.

The announcement will be made during the NFL draft, April 26-28.

Each year the NFL selects a classroom teacher and a PE teacher to be honored for their work. The teacher must go through an extensive interview process before given the award.

The winner receives $10,000 and the teacher’s school receives $10,000.

This has not been formally announced by the NFL.
