Members of Kentlake High’s leadership class has organized a series of events in its inaugural efforts to raise money as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
A dinner and auction is scheduled for 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, in the Kentlake Commons. Students pay $8 while adults pay $10.
Kentlake Drama Director Pam Cressey is the keynote speaker for the evening, which will feature an auction after dinner, door prizes and music provided by the Kentlake Music Department. Tickets, which can be purchased from Intro to Leadership students or the school cashier, must be purchased by Oct. 23.
An inaugural Scare Away Breast Cancer 5K run and walk is slated for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Kentlake. It is $10 to participate with T-shirts an additional $10. Tickets must be purchased by the day before the event and are available from the school cashier or Intro to Leadership students.
