South King County residents are invited to run in the seventh annual Outpatient Physical Therapy Summer’s End Fun Run.
The 5k/10k (plus a 2k for the kids) event takes place at Kentwood High School Saturday, Sept. 27 at 9:30 a.m. After the race, there will be a Kid Zone , which includes a bouncy house and kid’s activities, as well as a barbecue and more than 17 vendor booths.
The event benefits MultiCare’s Coalition for a Healthy Community. Officials say the goal is to create a healthy community by encouraging people of all ages and abilities to move themselves towards a healthy lifestyle.
The Summer’s End Fun Run is part of the inaugural So. King Challenge, which consists of three run/walk events in South King County. They include the Kent Cornucopia Days, Auburn Winer’s 5K and the Summer’s End Fun Run. The So. King Challenge requires participation in all three summer events. At the conclusion of the Summer’s End Fun Run, participants will receive recognition and a finisher’s medal, and their name will be placed into a drawing for prizes.
To register for the Summer’s End Fun Run, visit www.cruzinpassport.com or www.active.com. Online registration closes on Thursday, Sept. 25. Event day registration is open from 8:30-9:45 a.m.
