Covington’s sixth annual Purple Lights Night is Saturday

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and to get a jump start, Covington is holding its sixth annual Purple Light Nights is Saturday, Sept. 26.

The evening begins with a 5K at 6 p.m. followed by a BBQ dinner at 7 p.m. and the tree lighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m.

The event will be held in the Pier 1 parking lot.
