The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council will hold its monthly meeting from 7-9:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1 at the Maple Valley Fire Station.
All members of the public are invited to attend.
Our guest speakers will be from the King County Department of Transportation.
Jay Osborne, Manager of the Strategic Planning, Programming and Reporting Office, and Jeff Granlund, Supervisor in Road Maintenance will talk about King County Executive Dow Constantine’s proposed 2013 Roads budget and related impacts to services.
The council is locally elected and represents all unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District.
It advocates issues of local importance to King County.
King County and State officials often are invited to address the council and local residents. Members of the public can address the council on any local issue during an open comment period at the start of each meeting.
If you live in the Tahoma School District outside the city of Maple Valley, you are eligible to become a member of the council.
