Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

• An ordinance approving a transit service funding agreement with the city of Seattle (Ordinance 2015-0039).

• An ordinance approving service changes for June 2015 and September 2015 that will be funded by the city of Seattle through a transit service funding agreement with King County (Ordinance 2015-0040).

• An ordinance creating the King County Metro transit carbon offset program; requiring the wastewater treatment division and the solid waste division to be carbon neutral by 2025, by investing in energy efficiency, renewable energy, the production of renewable energy, carbon offsets and other practices to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases from operations (Ordinance 2014-0479).

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

 

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

• Motions confirming:

o   The appointment of Steven DiNoto to the King County Emergency Management Advisory Committee (Motion 2014-0114).

o   The appointment of the Hon. David Baker, Mayor, city of Kenmore, to the Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees (Motion 2001-0385).

o   The reappointment of April Atwood to the King County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (Motion 2014-0451).

o   The reappointment of Chetan Chandrashekhar to the King County Transit Advisory Commission (Motion 2015-0011).

o   The reappointment of Alan Cronell to the King County Cultural Development Authority (4Culture) (Motion 2015-0028).

Committee of the Whole – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

 

• A motion adopting the King County 2015 (FY 2016) Federal Legislative Agenda and King County 2015 (FY 2016) Federal Policy Interests (Motion 2014-0470).

• A motion that calls for advancing equity and social justice and directs the office of performance, strategy and budget to coordinate the development of a countywide equity and social justice strategic innovation priority plan (Motion 20140414).

A motion adopting the King County Vision, Mission, Guiding Principles, Goals and Strategic Innovation Priorities (Motion 20140415).

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 1:30 p.m. ***Special Meeting***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

• An ordinance providing for the submission to voters in April a proposition authorizing a property tax levy for the capitol transition and financing cost for the Puget Sound emergency radio network project (Ordinance 2015-0016).

• An ordinance making an emergency appropriation of $59,000 from the general fund to the community services operating fund, and $111,000 from the general fund to the facilities management internal services fund to provide additional funds for operating the King County Men’s Homeless Winter Shelter (Ordinance 2015-0043).

• Auditor’s Oversight Report on the Children and Family Justice Center Project (Briefing No. 2015-B0001).
