Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety to build 9/11 memorial

Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety is planning to commemorate the heroism of the first responders of the Sept. 11, 2001 tragedy in New York City by building a memorial outside fire station 81.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to fund the remainder of the project, less the contribution from Maple Valley Fire. A full story on the project will be in this week’s paper.
