Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

–Councilmembers will proclaim May Arts Education Month in King County.

–Councilmembers will proclaim May Foster Care Month in King County.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

• A motion requesting the executive consider specific climate action activities and policies for inclusion into the 2015 King County Strategic Climate Action Plan (Motion 2015-0111).

 

Tuesday, May 5

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

• A motion relating to comprehensive planning, specifying the scope of work for the proposed amendment to the King County Comprehensive Plan in 2016 (Motion 2015-0104).

• An ordinance renewing for six‑months an existing moratorium on the establishment or location of medical marijuana dispensaries and collective gardens asserted to be or actually authorized under Chapter 181, Laws of Washington 2011, and chapter 69.51A RCW (Ordinance 2015-0169).

 

Health, Housing and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.

• Recovery Centers of King County Closure and the Department of Community and Human Services Response (Briefing No. 2015-B0086).

• Adverse Childhood Experiences and King County’s Approach (Briefing No. 2015-B0085).
