Masquerade Party on Halloween features musician Michael Powers

The Maple Valley Creative Arts Council is planning its annual fundraiser, a masquerade party, for Halloween night.
The featured entertainer for the night, Michael Powers, grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, but graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle in 1982.Proceeds for the event pay for the Creative Arts Center’s operating expenses, rent and utilities.
Decked-out party goers will have a chance to win prizes in the “People’s Choice” costume contest. There will also be a raffle during the evening for Kathy Fruge-Brown’s oil painting, valued at $3,000.
Tickets for the event, which will be at the Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley, can be purchased at www.maplevalleyarts.com. The $30 admission cost includes one beverage of choice, but there will also be a cash bar.
