Tahoma Bears Cross Country Team honored by the Maple Valley City Council

Nov. 29, 2011 was declared Tahoma Bears Cross Country Team Day by the Maple Valley City Council.

They were honored at the Nov. 28 City Council meeting for their “demonstrated especially outstanding skill, spirit, and effort.”

The Tahoma Bears’ Cross Country Team competed in the state championship meet in Pasco on Nov. 5 where the girls’ team took first and the boys team took eighth place.

The team included Abby Atchinson, Maddy Dennis, Cheyenne Greenside, Amanda Kiefer, Julianna Mock, Ellizabeth Oosterhout, Katelyn Sherick, Delaney Tiernan, Mikayal Ward, Bridget Wulfing, Riley Campbell, James Dagley, Caleb  Eades, Merritt Kropelnicki, Jacob Larsen, Brendan Newell, Chase Pierson, Travis Scacco, Tyler Ward.

The teams were coached by Gary Conner, Jeff Brady, Jodi Hoffbuhr and Anne Hobson.
