For a moment early in the game against Kentlake, it looked like things weren't going to go well for Tahoma.

For a moment early in the game against Kentlake, it looked like things weren’t going to go well for Tahoma after Bears starting pitcher Brandon Fokkema gave up a 2-run homerun to give Kentlake a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Then Fokkema buckled down, striking out six over the complete game 3-2 victory for Tahoma, as he scattered eight hits while walking two batters.

Tahoma answered in the bottom of the first, tying it up at 2-2, then got the go ahead run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the third.

From there it was a battle between the Bears and the Falcons but neither were able to generate any more runs.

Connor Cloyd, a senior captain for Tahoma, finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored while Troy LaBrie went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Tahoma improved to 5-3 in South Puget Sound League North play with the win.

It was the second close game Tahoma had in a week.

Tahoma beat Auburn Riverside 2-1 in 10 innings on Wednesday.

The Bears scored a run in the top of the first then the Ravens tied it up in the bottom of the fourth.

Tahoma scored the go ahead run in the top of the 10th and held off Auburn Riverside to hang onto the win.

In the victory over Riverside Cloyd led the Bears at the plate, going 3-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base.
