Student athletes sign letters of intent on National Signing Day

National Signing Day was Feb. 3 when student athletes around the country commit to playing their sport at the collegiate level.

Fourteen athletes from Kentwood, Kentlake and Tahoma signed their letters of intent that day.

Kentwood

Football players Isaiah Williams and Jared Goldwire committed to the next level.

Williams will attend Central Washington University and Goldwire will attend University of Texas El Paso.

Kentlake

On Feb. 3, Athletic Director Bruce Rick said Cassidy Sawyer will attend Green River College for golf.

Avalyne Peters will attend Pacific Lutheran University for track and field.

Tahoma

Ten student athletes from Tahoma signed their letter of intent to play collegiate sports.

Five girls will take their soccer talents to the next level.

Mia Corbin will attend the University of California Berkley, Hadley Bezon will play at Eastern Washington University, Madison Bellmore will go to Green River College, Kaitlyn Brantzeg will go to Pierce College and Isabella Isgrig will play soccer at Northwest Nazarene University.

Boys soccer player Alex Young signed his letter of intent to Evergreen State College.

And the final four signees were two football players and two baseball.

Football players Caleb Brown will attend Idaho State University and Amandre Williams will attend the University of Washington.

Baseball players Logan Fewkes will go to Yakima Valley Community College and Ian Turner will play at Mount Hood Community College.
