The Tahoma Bears broke out of the gate with a first-game victory, 26-6, at home over Thomas Jefferson High.

It may not have been the prettiest game, with fumbles and penalties hurting both teams, but it gave the Bears an important South Puget Sound League 4A, North Division win.

The Tahoma Bears boys golf team is ready and willing to hit the links for the opening of the season.
The team came in second last year in the South Puget Sound League, North Division and this year’s team is shaping up to be a contender.

Knight Raider joined exclusive company Sunday at Emerald Downs.

The Washington-bred daughter of Tribunal scored a 3-¾-length victory over Rewritten in the $60,000 Barbara Shinpoch Stakes for 2-year-old fillies. Knight Raider thus joined Smarty Deb (2007) as the only juvenile fillies to win three stakes in a season at Emerald Downs.
