Nick Bayer Day in Maple Valley | WRESTLING

The Maple Valley City council proclaimed March 23 as Nick Bayer Day in the city of Maple Valley.

Bayer, a senior at Tahoma High, was recognized for his efforts on the wrestling mat.

In February he earned his third straight state wrestling title, bringing his 2009-2010 record to 41-3 and his career record to 140-16.

Bayer is the fourth Tahoma wrestler to become a three-time state champion.
