Kentwood beat Auburn 13-5 on Friday afternoon on the road.

Kentwood put together a 13-5 victory over Auburn Friday afternoon.

The Conquerors got on the board first, taking a 2-0 lead it the top of the first inning, then just kept building on it.

In the top of the second Cash McGuire, who went 1-for-3 with two RBIs, launched a two run long ball to make it 4-0.

Reese McGuire, who led the Conks at the plate going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, led off the top of the sixth when he jacked a solo shot over the right field fence. He picked up his other two RBIs in the top of the seventh when he hit a line drive to center field for a double.

With the win Kentwood improved to 4-0 in the South Puget Sound League North.

Kentwood has a pair of tough games this week taking on Tahoma Monday afternoon and Kentlake on Wednesday.
