The Falcons are flying high thanks to a three game win streak. After the Kentlake girls soccer team lost its first game to Tahoma Sept. 28, the Falcons have won three straight. The Falcons are in second place in the South Puget Sound League, 4A Division with a 7-1-1 record and 22 points.

Kentlake hosted Auburn Riverside Tuesday and won 2-1. Katherine Miccile scored the first goal unassisted for the Falcons at 33 minutes. The Falcons hit the final goal at 79 minutes.

Next up for Kentlake was a victory over Jefferson 3-2 Saturday on the road. Scoring twice for Kentlake was Alyssa Simonson and Kayla Maletich added the third.

Kentlake took Mount Rainier 3-1 at French Field Sept. 30. Maletich scored at 13 minutes with an assist from Miccile.

Sarah Landram hit at 20 minutes with an assist from Laura Rayfield and Callen Shelton scored at the 71 minute mark.

Kentlake took the field against Kentwood Thursday. Scores were not available at press deadline.

The Falcons host Kent-Meridian at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kentwood dropped a couple of games this past week, dropping to third in the SPSL North with seven matches remaining in the regular season. The team’s record is 6-3-0 with 18 points.

Kentwood lost to Thomas Jefferson 2-1 Tuesday at French Field. Courtney Roller scored with an assist from Kiana Kraft at 57 minutes.

The Conks lost to Tahoma 2-1 at French Field Saturday. Megan McNally hit at 78 minutes. It was the first goal scored this season against Tahoma.

Kentwood played Kentlake Thursday after the press deadline.

The Conks play Kentridge at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12.
