Fireworks bring extra oomph to homecoming

Fall brings some of the community’s favorite events, including high school homecoming.

This year the Tahoma High School Homecoming game will be on the evening of Friday, Oct. 4, according to a school district press release. The Tahoma Bears will take on Todd Beamer High School in Maxwell Stadium at Maple View Middle School.

“District and high school staff want to let the community know there will be fireworks at halftime and after touchdowns,” the press release states.

The fireworks are both to replace the loud “signal” that used to be sounded at the end of the game after it was removed last year, and to bring some extra fun to the homecoming game tradition.
