District play has begun for girls, boys basketball

With the win, the Falcons advanced to the first round of districts.

Kentlake faced Kent-Meridian Thursday in the first round.

The game was played after the press deadline.

Districts is set to run through Feb. 20.

The top six teams will advance to the regional round of the post season.

The Tahoma girls also played in the SPSL tourney and lost 49-41 to Rogers of Puyallup.

The Bears enter district as the No. 10 seed and faced Bellarmine Thursday in the first round.

BOYS BASKETBALL

The Conks lost 66-63 to Curtis in the league tourney and enter the district round as the No. 3 seed.

Kentwood played Emerald Ridge Wednesday in the first round of districts.

Kentlake enters districts as the No. 11 seed after beating Rogers 57-52.
