On May 18 the Seattle Seahawks signed wide receiver Deshon Foxx from the University of Connecticut.

Foxx participated in the Hawks’ rookie minicamp earlier this month.

According to the Seahawks website, to make room on the roster for Foxx, the Hawks had to waive Kentwood graduate and Covington resident Demitrius Bronson.

Bronson was dealing with an injured hamstring during the rookie minicamp, coach Pete Carroll said according to the post on the Hawks’ website.

Bronson is a second year player who graduated from Eastern Washington University.

He spent the 2014 season on the Seahawks’ practice squad.

A day following the placement of Bronson on waivers, the running back was placed on the Seahawks’ injured reserve.

For the time being, Bronson remains a Seahawk.
