There are great opportunities for members, the local community, service groups and youth groups to get out in the gardens and volunteer at Lake Wilderness Arboretum.

There are great opportunities for members, the local community, service groups and youth groups to get out in the gardens and volunteer at Lake Wilderness Arboretum.

All skill levels are welcome. Here are some ways to help out:

• Join a garden work party. Volunteer days start at 9 a.m. every Wednesday and Thursday as well as the first and second Saturday of every month.

• Plan a volunteer event for your group.

• Devote your time to one of our committees.

• Property Management and Development Committee plans and maintains gardens and the forest reserve.

• Nursery Committee manages the Arboretum nursery.

• Membership and Public Relations Committee promotes events, recruits members and volunteers, maintains website, newsletter and social media.

• Budget and Finance Committee develops and implements the Arboretum Foundation’s financial management procedures, included fund raising andgrant procurement.

• Serve as a committee chair

Our next event is the Annual Spring Plant Sale May 10-11.
