Wastemobile will take your household hazardous waste

Automotive products, batteries and pesticides are among hazardous items that can be taken to the parking lot at the Fred Meyer store at 16735 SE. 272nd St., where the Wastemobile and its staff will be available those three days. The service is free.

The Wastemobile will be at two other south King County-area locations this month: the Fred Meyer store in Kent at 10201 SE. 240th St. Sept. 12-14, and the Auburn SuperMall at 1101 SuperMall Way Sept. 19-21.

Part of the county’s Local Hazardous Waste Management Program, the Wastemobile also accepts chlorine bleach, oil-based paint, automotive products (oil, antifreeze, auto batteries, etc.) and fluorescent bulbs.
