Truck crashes into tree on Kent Kangley Road | Maple Valley Fire Report

Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety emergency personnel and King County paramedics were dispatched to a vehicle accident at 3:34 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, in the 30400 block of Southeast Kent Kangley Road. A King County Sheriff's deputy was at the scene and said the vehicle driver, a man, was possibly deceased. Upon arrival firefighters found a truck that had collided with a tree and the man was still responsive.

Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety emergency personnel and King County paramedics were dispatched to a vehicle accident at 3:34 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, in the 30400 block of Southeast Kent Kangley Road. A King County Sheriff’s deputy was at the scene and said the vehicle driver, a man, was possibly deceased. Upon arrival firefighters found a truck that had collided with a tree and the man was still responsive. Firefighters removed portions of the cab, the dashboard and the firewall and also utilized a tow truck to ease the truck away from the tree to remove the patient. The extrication took in excess of an hour due to the severity of damage to the vehicle and the cab of the truck being wrapped around the tree. The man was treated at the scene by King County paramedics and transported to Ravensdale Park to be airlifted to a local hospital.
