The Maple Valley Reporter to host debate moderated by Barry Fountain

The Maple Valley Reporter newspaper will be presenting a debate for City Council Position No. 2 between incumbent Glenn Smith, and challengers Jim Flynn and Bill Allison. Retired Tahoma High social studies teacher Barry Fountain will moderate.

The Maple Valley Reporter newspaper will be presenting a debate for City Council Position No. 2 between incumbent Glenn Smith, and challengers Jim Flynn and Bill Allison.

Retired Tahoma High social studies teacher Barry Fountain will moderate.

The debate is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug.6 at Tahoma School District Central Services Center, 25720 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road S.E., which is also known as the boardroom.

The debate will last for 90 minutes with questions read to the panel of candidates by a Fountain. The first 30 to 40 minutes of the debate will involve questions from the editorial staff and the balance of time will be questions submitted in writing from the audience.

There will be opening and closing statements from each candidate.
