State Department of Corrections officers arrested a 25-year-old man who was living in the Spring Lake area of Southeast King County on an outstanding warrant. The officers found a large amount of stolen property and called the King County Sheriff’s Office for assistance.

Detectives from the East Precinct South Criminal Investigations Unit handled the property recovery. It is believed the property was most likely stolen sometime during the past three months. To date the sheriff’s office has returned a substantial amount of property to local area victims, but a large amount of property has still been unclaimed.

The unclaimed property includes power tools, lawn mowers, hand tools, wakeboards, snowboards, water skis, computers, ladders and bicycles.

There will be a public viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday Oct. 14 at the King County Sheriff’s Precinct No. 3, 22300 S.E. 231 St., Maple Valley.

A temporary message line has been set up at 206-205-3867.

Note

If you were the victim of a burglary, theft, car prowl or similar incident prior to Sept. 24, 2010 in the southeast area of King County, you will be invited to view the remaining unclaimed property. If your incident occurred in a jurisdiction that is serviced by an agency other than the King County Sheriff’s Office or one of their contract cities, you will need to have a copy of your incident report to view the property.
