The King County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Stan Seo tweeted Tuesday night that a shooting had occurred in the SE 29800 block of Kent-Black Diamond Road.

The initial report was the shooting occurred during a domestic argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend.

Once on the scene, Seo twitted the incident involved an ex-husband and ex-wife who had gotten back together.

The King County Sheriff’s Office PIO twitter account said the call came in around 10 p.m. regarding a verbal argument.

It is reported that the verbal argument turned to a physical argument and the 46-year-old female was armed with a handgun.

When the 48-year-old male came at her, she shot him in the leg, according to tweets by Seo.

It is reported that she ran to a neighbors to call 911.

When fire crews arrived, they were able to treat the male. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the status of the male is unknown, Seo said.

According to tweets by Seo, deputies are continuing to investigate the incident.

It appears she shot him in self defense.

Seo said alcohol was involved on the male’s side but the female was not under the influence.

The tweets from last night stated the female is helping aid deputies in their investigation.

She was not booked into jail following the incident.

According to Seo, the King County Sheriff’s Office has not responded to calls before regarding this couple.
