FRAZZLED NERVES: Police responded to a call about a woman threatening to burn her house down, which was located in the 26200 block of 197th Place Southeast. It was reported the woman was going to burn the house because of stress.

Jan. 30

ANGRY EX: A man slashed the tires of his ex-girlfriend’s car while it was parked in front of her home in the 25700 block of 174th Place Southeast.

SHOPLIFTING: A pair of underage girls attempted to steal alcohol from the Covington QFC in the 17300 block of Southeast 272nd Street.

JUST THE WINCH: Someone stole a winch from a woman’s vehicle during the day in the 17000 block of Southeast Wax Road.

Jan. 28

VEHICLE BREAK-IN: An unknown suspect broke into a car parked along the 16700 block of Southeast 251st Place. The suspect was attempting to steal the vehicle’s stereo, but only managed to damage the driver’s side door in the process.

Jan. 25

THREATS: A man threatened to kill people while at the home of his former brother-in-law in the 17600 block of Southeast 260th Place.

OPPORTUNISTIC THIEF: A man left his keys in the ignition of his unlocked vehicle while dining in the Iron Grill located in the 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. The vehicle was stolen from the parking lot in the early afternoon.

Jan. 31

NOT SO FRIENDLY NEIGHBOR: Officer responded to a dispute between neighbors in the 28200 block of 138th Avenue Southeast. The dispute nearly turned violent when one homeowner brandished a pistol in a threatening manner.

CAR PROWL: A suspect broke into a car parked in a drive way in the 23400 block of Southeast 254th Street. The suspect rifled through the car, stole some change, but there was no visible damage to the vehicle.

HOME INVASION: A family was going through their mother’s home after her death located in the 22000 block of Southeast 241st Place. The family members discovered some of mother’s jewelry was missing.

NEW PAINT JOB: Vandals shot paintballs at a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 28600 block of 224th Place Southeast.

TAGGED: Fresh graffiti was found along the Lake Wilderness Trail tunnel walls on Southeast 263rd Street and 236th Avenue Southeast.

BURGLARY: The Maple Valley Presbyterian Church was broken into and music equipment was taken. The church is located in the 22600 block of Sweeney Road Southeast.
