Neely Mansion hosts annual Vintage Market

Sumi-e artist Darlene Dihel will be one of the many people at the market selling art and vintage furniture and crafts.

King County’s renowned Neely Mansion will be hosting a Vintage Market this Saturday, July 27.

This is the fourth year of the market, organized by the Neely Mansion Association.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., vendors at the Mansion will be selling vintage clothing, home decor, glassware, jewelry, woolens, and collectables.

Japanese artwork will also be sold at the event, provided by Sumi-e artist Darlene Dihel.

“Neely Mansion is a great setting for Darlene’s artwork, given the legacy of the two Japanese immigrant families who lived and farmed at the property in the 1920s and 30s,” said Karen Meador, the Association’s spokeswoman.

Food vendors will be attending as well.

Additionally, visitors can tour the mansion, which is known both locally and nationally for its historical significance. Tours of the farmhouse, gardens, vintage farming equipment and the one-of-a-kind 1930s Japanese bathhouse are free, but the Neely Mansion Association hopes visitors can donate $3 per adult for the tours.
