The following is a press release from Elect Megan Sheridan:

With a focus on economic development and transportation, education and community engagement, Megan Sheridan announced her candidacy for Maple Valley City Council.
Sheridan, a real estate agent for John L. Scott who has lived in the Maple Valley area for six years, is running for Position 5 (currently held by Noel Gerken).

Sheridan is a member of the city’s Planning Commission and is deeply connected to the community through her volunteer work as marketing director of Foster Champs of Maple Valley, founder of MVBD Cash Mobs, director of Maple Valley Days, her service on the Make A Difference Day committee as well as the marketing committee for the Greater Maple Valley Community Center.

As a mother of a student in the Tahoma School District who works in Maple Valley, Sheridan is a reflection of the community she strives to represent. She can actively advocate on behalf of the city’s residents to support the great education the city’s children receive, to improve its roads, to help implement a multi-phased economic development plan and connect the community to its elected officials that goes beyond city newsletters so the voice and vision of residents are seen and heard.
