· Resolution regarding extension of interlocal agreement with King County to December 31, 2015

 

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

•A motion declaring that it is county policy to establish a paid parental leave program for King County employees and directing the executive to develop and transmit a work plan for implementing a paid parental leave program and a report on the costs and benefits of implementing and providing a paid parental leave program (Motion 2015-0102).

•A motion relating to public transportation; requiring a report on the potential for senior citizens and persons with disabilities to apply for regional reduced fare permits (Motion 2015-0123).

•An ordinance relating to King County District Court electoral boundaries for 2015 (Ordinance 2015-0155).

•A motion related to the transfer of retired vanpool vans to nonprofit organizations and local governments to meet the needs of low‑income, elderly, disabled and young county citizens (Motion 2015-0160).

•An ordinance establishing a new deadline for the 2015 update to the Strategic Plan for Public Transportation 2011‑2021 and the King County Metro Service Guidelines (Ordinance 2015-0144).

•A motion requesting the executive consider specific climate action activities and policies for inclusion into the 2015 King County Strategic Climate Action Plan (Motion 2015-0111).

•An ordinance relating to a capital improvement project; making a supplemental appropriation of $3,613,467 to the building repair and replacement fund; and amending the 2015/2016 Biennial Budget Ordinance (Ordinance 2015-0120).

•An ordinance making a supplemental appropriation of $6,615,000 to the sheriff’s office and amending the 2015/2016 Budget Ordinance (Ordinance 2015-0121).
