COVINGTON

April 6

  • DRUNK WON’T LEAVE: 16200 block of Southeast 256th Street. A man described as Hispanic and in his 50s was drunk at Foss Market around 4:30 p.m. He refused to leave the store but eventually left and was located by police who observed that the man had urinated on himself. The man also refused to give the officer his name.

April 5

  • ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL: A man was found asleep at the wheel of his Lexus at the gas pumps at the Union 76 station. Police discovered drug paraphernalia in the car.
  • SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: 17400 block of Southeast 272nd Street. An observer reported that a specific car regularly parks in the lot of the KFC/Taco Bell for 30 minutes to an hour on various days of the week. The driver never comes into the business to make a purchase and only drives around and meets other people there.

April 4

  • HIGH SHOPLIFTER: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. After the suspect was arrested for shoplifting at Kohl’s the alleged thief was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia as well as a small amount of methamphetamine.

April 3

  • CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 18800 block of Southeast 271st Court. Someone used the victim’s personal information to try and open credit card accounts.

April 2

  • STRIPPED: 19000 block of Southeast 269th Street. The owner of a car discovered in the morning that someone had stripped it of all four wheels, tires, seats, front bumper and the headlights while it sat in the driveway.

MAPLE VALLEY

April 5

  • INTERNET THREAT: 22000 block of Southeast 261st Place. The suspect threatened — on Facebook — to shoot the victim in the face with a short barreled shotgun.

April 4

  • TOILET ON FIRE: Southeast 281st Court and 224th Place Southeast. Someone set a portable toilet on fire in the Sunridge neighborhood. Investigators believe it was arson.
  • OMINOUS NOTE: 21900 block of Southeast 239th Street. An ex-roommate leaves a note for the reporting party which she believed was meant to threaten her.
  • LEFT HIS MARK: Southeast 248th Street and 224th Avenue Southeast. A juvenile suspect was seen using his finger to write in freshly poured concrete sidewalks.

April 3

  • FAKE GRANDSON: 27400 block of 219th Place Southeast. A woman received a phone call from a man who claimed to be her grandson. According to the police report, the man said, “Grandma, do you know who this is? I am in Peru and have been in an accident. I need $2,400 to pay the hospital bill.” The woman said it sounded like her grandson but she knows he is not in Peru.
  • THEFT: 22300 block of Southeast 231st Street. Someone stole air conditioning condensers from the vacant King County Sheriff’s Precinct 3. The loss was estimated at $20,000.
  • FORGED SCRIPS: 22100 block of Southeast 237th Street. A Bartell’s patron tried to get the pharmacy to fill a forged prescription for oxycodone and Ambien.

April 2

  • PHONE SCAM: 21800 block of Southeast Wax Road. A man called the reporting party and demanded she pay a debt which she did not accrue. According to a web search the phone number is connected with several phone scam attempts.
  • FLAG STOLEN: 22400 block of Southeast 281st Street. A three-foot by five-foot flag embroidered with the Valley Forge symbol valued at about $100 was stolen from its mount in the front of the victim’s home near the garage door.
