COVINGTON

Oct. 2

THEFT: 16400 block of Southeast 251st Street. A man returned to his car, which was parked across the street from Mattson Middle School, and discovered that someone had broken into it and stolen $600 in cash. The victim was sure he had locked his car and it was unclear how the thief was able to gain entry.

Sept. 30

SHOPLIFTER: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. An unidentified male was seen placing three video games in his pants at Walmart before he ran out of the east fire exit of the store.

Sept. 27

VANDALISM: 16400 block of Southeast 251st Street. Someone spray painted the exterior wall of a bathroom at the Covington Skate Park.

THREATS: 19200 block of Southeast 267th Street. A resident of Timberlane made threats to the vice president of the neighborhood’s homeowner’s association.

Sept. 22

PROSTITUTION: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A woman was arrested in a parking lot after posting an ad online offering her services as a prostitute.

Oct. 4

DOG DAY: 27700 block of 215th Place Southeast. A couple were out for a walk in their neighborhood when a black lab jumped over a neighbor’s fence and apparently charged the couple as it barked. The husband pulled out a handgun as the neighbor left her home. An argument then ensued between the couple and the woman.

Oct. 3

STOLEN MAKE UP: 24000 block of Southeast 263rd Place. A number of items, including three boxes of Mary Kay cosmetics, were stolen from an unlocked car parked in the driveway of a private residence.

Sept. 30

TRESPASS: Southeast 280th Street and 213th Avenue Southeast. A trio of male were reported smoking marijuana in a private park in a neighborhood. Members of the neighborhood’s homeowners association called the police and requested all three be trespassed from the property.

Sept. 28

HIDEOUT: 23000 block of Southeast 267th Place. A resident has observed unusual activity in the woods near where they pick up trash regularly. The reporting party has found modified soda cans for smoking illegal substances as well as several baggies. It was reported that it’s busiest from 10 a.m. to dark on Saturdays and Sundays.
