King County Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant on the residence of a 20-year-old man living in Maple Valley who is alleged to have raped a Covington woman Sept. 30.

The search warrant was served at about noon Oct. 2 in the 21600 block of 271st Street.

The man was arrested and Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County Prosecutor’s Office, reported bail has been set at $750,000. The deadline for filing charges is Oct. 6.

The man is alleged to have gained entry into the woman’s house through a ruse. The woman had her infant child and toddler with her.

He threatened to hurt her children if she did not comply.
