Intoxicated man told officers he was seeing people in his car | Black Diamond Police Blotter

Officers were dispatched to the 32300 block of 3rd Avenue for a welfare check on a man. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant and the male subject, who was obviously extremely intoxicated. The man told the officer he was seeing people in his car that was parked in front of his residence.

April 2

  • NO CONTACT: 31600 block of 3rd Avenue. An officer observed a vehicle traveling south bound in the 31600 block of 3rd Avenue with a suspended vehicle registration.  The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the male driver, who advised he only had an expired driver’s license from California.  Checking the man’s name showed he was a respondent in a domestic violence-no contact order.  The order listed a female’s name and the description was similar to the passenger in the vehicle.  The officer verified this was the female the male driver was prohibited from having contact with and placed him under arrest.  In addition the man had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest on domestic violence charges from Auburn.  The male driver was booked into Buckley Jail.

March 30

  • WELFARE CHECK: 32300 block of 3rd Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the 32300 block of 3rd Avenue for a welfare check on a man.  Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant and the male subject, who was obviously extremely intoxicated.  The man told the officer he was seeing people in his car that was parked in front of his residence.  The officer verified the story as false and due to his high level of intoxication it was determined he could not take care of himself.  The male subject was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

March 28

  • ACCIDENT: 26200 block of Lawson Street. An officer was dispatched to an injury accident in the 26200 block of Lawson Street.  The officer found a single car accident where the vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole.  The Black Diamond Fire Department responded to the scene and treated the male driver for minor injuries.  The male driver advised he had reached over in the passenger seat to get a piece of candy when his car hit the shoulder and he lost control, striking the utility pole.  The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and the utility pole’s base had been cracked.  The vehicle was towed from the scene a state collision report was completed.

March 26

  • FALSE INFORMATION: 22500 block of SE 288th Street. An officer observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road in the 22500 block of SE 288th Street.  The vehicle stayed stopped and did not attempt to make any turns.  The officer pulled in behind the vehicle and made contact with the female driver.  The woman said she had stopped in the road to text.  The woman identified herself and upon a records check several alias were identified that showed her to have two misdemeanor warrants from Kent and Tacoma.  Upon verifying the female driver was providing false information she was placed under arrest.  Additional record checks showed she also had a suspended license did not have an ignition interlock that was required.  The female driver was booked into Buckley jail on the listed charges.

March 24

  • ARGUING: 32500 block of Highland Avenue. A call came in regarding a disturbance in the 32500 block of Highland Avenue.  Officers made contact with both parties who were arguing.  While talking with both subjects officer’s learned that the two subjects had been in a prior dating relationship, but had ended that a few months ago. Both parties advised that they only yelled obscenities at each other there was no violence or threats of violence made.  Both parties agreed to leave the area and not have further contact with each other.
